Spring Terrace Health Centre and Nelson Medical Group are both members of Northumbria Primary Care (NPC). NPC is a not-for-profit, at-scale primary care organisation that is wholly owned and operated by Northumbria Healthcare. Our organisation manages ten GP practices across Northumberland and North Tyneside.
At Northumbria Primary Care, we are committed to providing the best possible service to our patients and local community. In order to facilitate this, we have made the decision to merge Spring Terrace Health Centre and Nelson Medical Group’s administrative duties. Due to their physical proximity, both practices have worked alongside each other previously and have a history of providing support and sharing resources.
This merger will provide both practices with increased resilience, more streamlined processes, and a greater pool of resources. By merging the practices, we also hope to address some of the recruitment challenges that currently exist within primary care. This move will improve patient experience.
Both practices will remain in the same locations.
Both practices will continue to operate under their current names.
You will be able to see the same doctors and nurses you do now.
- Opening times will remain the same.
Patients for each practice can find more information on their practice’s website:
