Further to our last update in September, we are writing to confirm some changes we are making to the management of Valens Medical Partnership.
We are very pleased to confirm that, from Monday 1 January 2024, Valens Medical Partnership will become part of Northumbria Primary Care.
This is a welcome move which will allow us to continue to ensure that the practice remains sustainable. It will mean that we can deliver what is expected from primary care now and into the future.
As many of you will be aware, some of these requirements include improving access for patients, increasing capacity to offer more joined up patient care, strengthening workforce and resilience in services, embracing digital technologies and making the well-being of our team and our patients a priority.
The current Valens Medical Partnership team has worked hard to deliver high quality and effective services to patients and by joining Northumbria Primary Care, we know we will be able to continue to build on this and further improve services.
Impact on patients
Current Valens Medical Partnership patients are being informed of this update and are also being advised of the below. Any support in communicating this information to patients, as and when appropriate, would be appreciated.
Patients will see no immediate change to the clinical care/services provided or where they go to access GP services. They should continue to access care from the surgery that they currently go to.
Opening times and contact details for all surgeries will remain the same and the doctors, nurses and support staff they see will all remain the same. Patients do not need to do anything in relation to this change.
Patients and others may notice some new faces working in their surgeries as several new colleagues will join them over the coming weeks.
Valens Medical Partnership’s websites and branding will change
Valens Medical Partnership’s GP practice brand and names will change, from early next year, to reflect that we will be part of Northumbria Primary Care.
As part of this, the current Valens Medical Partnership website URL will change. From Friday 5 January it will be accessed from www.npcwellwaybrockwelllintonville.co.uk. If anyone accesses the current Valens website URL (www.valensmedical.co.uk) on or after Friday 5 January, they will be automatically redirected. We will ensure continued patient access to online services and information.
We will also be rebranding Valens Medical Partnership’s social media channels.
