Currently, seven practices have fully joined NPC – you can read more about these individual practices here.
Practices that fully join and subcontract service delivery to NPC are able to relinquish responsibility for employment of staff, lease and ownership of premises and managing income and outgoings. They can expect support with, among many other things, their CCQ inspection and changes to national practice. That being said, our salaried partners are expected to remain active members of practice decision-making, trouble shooting and service innovation.
We can offer a tailored support solution for your practice without the need to fully join or subcontract to NPC. With current workforce challenges and cost pressures, practices may wish to consider alternatives to conventional staffing models. For example, we believe we have an attractive, efficient and safe alternative solution for the clinical coding and medicine tasks of practices.
By entering a service level agreement with NPC we would be able to provide practices a trained, quality controlled, audited and fully managed clinical coding and medicine technician service at a fraction of the cost of replacing vacancies with a GP. With the service showing that it can reduce a GPs' working day, practices may choose to reduce their expected clinician establishment, or if already fully recruited, simply improve their work life balance and get home at a reasonable time.
